Russian Motor Transportation Union (in Russian — RAS) was founded in 1999 as a non-profit organization. Its founders were 48 associations of automobile transportation. The main goal was to represent and protect interests of RAS members in the federal legislative and executive establishments, collaborating in creation of propitious conditions for activities related to the motor transportation in the Russian and overseas business fields.
